30th Annual Harvest Festival - Watchung Reservation

One of Union County's most popular events marks its 30th year this fall as the annual fall Harvest Festival gets underway the last weekend in September.  Celebrate America's heritage in the picturesque Watchung Reservation at Trailside Nature & Science Center on Sunday, September 25, 2011 form 11:00am to 5:00pm, rain or shine.  Admission is $4 per person, children ages 7 and under are free.

Visitors will see demonstrations of how early Americans lived and performed daily tasks, from blacksmithing to weaving.  There is no shortage of things to do, including crafts for children, Native American Lodge and Artifact Display, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Colonial & Native American Crafts, Log Sawing, Shingle Splitting, Blacksmith Demonstration, Pumpkin Patch, Food, and a Farmer's Market.  Entertainment runs through the day, with live musicians, storytelling.  The annual event also includes the traditional scarecrow making contest.  For more information, go to:
