Wharton Music Center Presents The Super Nova Project

The Super Nova Project hits the stage this Saturday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Wharton Music Center located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights. Featuring original music composed by Jimmy Goodman and Craig Graham, The Super Nova Project is music filled with beautiful melodies, rich harmonies, and soulful rhythms and influenced by a mix of musical styles to waken the senses. General admission is $20 and $10 for students.

Vibraphonist Jimmy Goodman and guitarist Craig Graham have recorded their music and will be debuting their first CD, “Super Sessions” this summer. Goodman and Graham, long time friends who met in New York City in the early nineties, began playing jazz gigs in New York City and writing music together. After years of collaboration, they brought together musicians with whom they connected, including longtime bassist Kyle Esposito of Woodstock, NY.

The instrumentation of guitar and vibraphone is unique and beautiful. With a full five- piece band, the Project forms an authentic jazz group. Joining Goodman and Graham on the Project are pianist Ross Rice, bassist, Kyle Esposito, and drummer Manuel Quintana.

Judith G. Wharton Music Center, located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights, is a community music center.
