Cut-a-thon for Susan G. Komen on Oct. 17

Get beautified, do good works — both at the same time at the Anthony Garubo Salon & Day Spa in Maplewood on Monday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

t's "Cuts for a Cure" on Monday, Oct. 17 when the Anthony Garubo Salon and Day Spa's Cut-a-thon puts on its benefit to raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure — and make the world a more beautiful place in the meantime.

Normally closed on Mondays, the popular salon and day spa will open its doors for Susan G. Komen alone, offering cuts and other services (call for more information). It works this way: Donate $50 and get a "free" haircut. 100% of funds go to the beneficiary.

The event runs next from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Checks only will be accepted and must be payable to "Susan G. Komen for the Cure North Jersey Affiliate."
