Union Whole Foods Corner Table Grand Opening Tonight

New Corner Table to offer local beer, wine and more.

A new bar and restaurant is opening in the area right next to where you buy your organic lettuce.

Today at 4 p.m., Whole Foods in Union holds the grand opening of the Corner Table, a restaurant and taproom offering food and drinks.

While Whole Foods has opened similar tap rooms in other state stores, the Corner Table is the first such effort in New Jersey. According to a Whole Foods announcement, the menu’s beer, wine and food will have a distinct local flavor.

The Corner Table will supplant the location’s former Osteria restaurant. In addition to offering expanded offerings compared to its predecessor, the Corner Table will host events and activities for patrons. Upcoming programming includes “Meet the Brewer” where Whole Foods customers can sample local beers while their favorite brewers from around the area are on-hand.

Tonight’s grand opening will see Union’s Chamber of Commerce taking part in a Bread Breaking ceremony and will feature live music.
