Adoptable Cat of the Week

Alana and Jamie!

Springfield Patch has partnered with JerseyCats to help place adoptable cats with owners.

JerseyCats is a non-profit, volunteer run, cat rescue based in Northern New Jersey.  They hold  regular Saturday adoption events at the PETCO in West Orange, as well as events elsewhere. Each week we will feature a cat looking for a home.

Meet Alana and Jamie, sisters who were born under an office trailer on a construction site.  A kind-hearted plumber scooped them up when they were tiny kittens and took them to their foster mother where they thrived.
Jamie is a cat with lots of personality. A true "velcro kitty", she loves nothing better than to be held and snuggled.  She is clever and rambunctious and loves to play chase games!

Her sister Alana is quite gorgeous!  She is a careful girl, but once she gets to know and trust you, she will let you pet her and will even put her paws on your chest and "head butt" your cheek!  It's very charming.

They are a perfect pair!  They have it all -- brains, beauty and personality!  Well, they almost have it all.  They just need a home to call their own...
June is Adopt a Cat Month!  Why not celebrate by opening your heart and home to Alana and Jamie?

Can't adopt?  JerseyCats needs foster homes to care for homeless cats and kittens until they find their forever homes.  Fostering gives you all of the love with less commitment!  Learn more at www.jerseycats.org.
