Local Play Offers Veterans Free Theater Tickets

Theatrical production reaching out to veterans.

When the play Oklahoma! debuted on Broadway in March 1943, producers gave free tickets to soldiers about to leave for World War II.

With Cranford High School mounting this week, the cast and crew are offering free tickets to veterans. The show is being performed this weekend.

A group connected with the show, including employee of a Springfield school, are hoping to get the word out to veterans in Union County municipalities.

IF you are a veteran and would like to attend the show, send me an email and I will forward your information to the show. If you have pins, hats or a uniform, the play’s producers would love you to wear them.
