After lifting of controversial school costumes ban and with much of town without power, Halloween went ahead mostly as usual.

Trick or Treating was made a more treacherous proposition than usual with many homes  and several streets featuring following the freak of the previous weekend. 

Nonetheless, the ghoulish holiday spirit was evident. A smattering of candy-seeking revelers were seen on the snow lined streets near dusk, and elementary school children packed the for the Springfield Recreation Department's .
