The Muppets Take Meisel

Union County screens the Muppet Movie as part of their Family Flix series.

Kermit and Co. will be moving right along to Springfield, thanks to Union County. As part of the county's Family Flix series, puppet masterpiece The Muppet Movie will play in Meisel Park in Springfield on Tuesday, July 27. In the spirit of the film, children will make their own paper-bag hand puppet before the movie.

It's one of two Family Flix movies screening in Springfield; Shrek 2 will play on Tuesday, August 3 at  Meisel. The movie will be preceded by a performance from the The Mystic Vision Players community theatre company of Linden.
