Gateway Beautification Program Underway

Plants and bushes are springing up at Springfield's entrances.

Entrances to Springfield are about to get a facelift.

Springfield Business Improvement District coordinator Mike Scalera presented Township Administrator Anthony Cancro with a check for $5,000 for the 'Gateway Beautification Program' which will spruce up key entrances or "gateways" into Springfield. In addition to cleaning the areas, perennial flowers and bushes will be planted at the locations.

The first gateway project is now underway at Morris Avenue and Morrison Road.
