Easy Parking for Taxpayers

The first four spaces on both sides of North and South Trivett Avenue have been reserved by a sign indicating '10 Minute Parking – Tax Business Only' to make it easier for residents.

The following information was provided by Springfield Township:

Springfield has reserved the first eight parking spaces in front of Town Hall for township residents to pay their fourth quarter taxes property taxes.

The first four spaces on both sides of North and South Trivett Ave have been reserved by a sign indicating “10 Minute Parking – Tax Business Only” to make it easier to park and come in and pay their taxes.

The idea, Mary Jo Walsh, Township Tax Collector, explained came about as “sometimes it is difficult to find a park space or older residents have to work longer distances, this makes it much easier for them to park and work into Town Hall and pay their taxes.”

The new parking arrangement has received very favorable comments from taxpayers. The Township also offers on-line tax payments as well as mail in payments. Tax payments will be accepted until November 12 by 4:00 pm.
