Alleged Springfield Scammer Racks Up Charges Throughout NJ

Man accused of credit card fraud brought routine to Cladwell and elsewhere.

Lasean Harps, who earlier this month was arrested by Springfield police for allegedly attempting to run a complicated con job on a township liquor store clerk, has been charged with similar crimes elsewhere in the state.

Harps was recently fingered by law enforcement officials in Caldwell for attempting a similar credit card scam at a liquor store there. Caldwell police say Lasean Harps purchased $561 worth of alcohol with a fraudulent credit card on March 11 from a Caldwell liquor store.
