Baby Born in Springfield Bank Parking Lot

Township emergency services assisted in withdrawal.

Usually, when you call 911, there is something bad happening.  Maybe your house was robbed, or your car caught fire.  Perhaps you were in a motor vehicle collision, or fell or are having chest pain.

Yesterday morning, after a little confusion over which TD Bank parking lot the patient had stopped in, the emergency call became a call of joy as a baby girl was born in the back of a sports utility vehicle. On scene as witnesses were members of the Springfield Volunteer First Aid Squad and Overlook Hospital Paramedics, as well as the Springfield Police & Fire Departments.

Mom and the newborn girl were treated on scene and then transported by the First Aid Squad and paramedics safely to St. Barnabas Medical Center, with dad following close behind.
