LIVE TRAFFIC: The Slow, Summer Snarls To The Jersey Shore

Below is a map of the traffic situation at the Driscoll Bridge, the so-called gateway to the Shore, and beyond. Patch also has links to areas of high-traffic volume: Sandy Hook, Long Branch, Belmar, Point Beach, Seaside Heights, LBI and Ocean City.

Every summer weekend, traffic is typically bumper-to-bumper and moving at a crawl between the Garden State Parkway and the beaches. Above is a map of the traffic situation at the Driscoll Bridge, the so-called gateway to the Shore, and beyond.

Typically, you should anticipate up to a half hour, or more, to travel between the area and the Garden State Parkway.
