Springfield Teen Struck by Car Friday

Accident occurred at the intersection of Morris and Maple avenues.

A Springfield teen was struck by a car Friday morning at the intersection of Morris and Maple Avenues, police said. 

The 14-year-old, who was in the crosswalk at the time, was hit at approximately 7 a.m., Cpl. Jon Rachel said.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Overlook Hopsital, where she treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 43-year-old woman from Roselle, was charged with careless driving.
