H1N1 Clinic Schedule

Next clinic is Tuesday Night in Westfield.

On Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Westfield regional health department will distribute nasal spray vaccines for the H1N1 flu at Westfield High School, 550 Dorian Road in Westfield, from 5pm-8pm.The clinic is intended for healthy individuals between the ages of 2 and 24 and primary care-givers for infants and health care workers under 49 who make direct contact with patients.

The next scheduled clinic after tomorrow is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 16 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Summit High School, 125 Kent Place Blvd in Summit. That clinic, which distributes vaccine shots, is intended for pregnant women, all individuals 6 months-24 years of age and individuals younger than 65 with chronic health conditions, as well as caregivers for infants 6 months old or younger and healthcare providers who make direct contact with patients.

TARGET POPULATIONS FOR THIS CLINIC**

  • Healthy individuals (no chronic health conditions) ages 2-24 years of age
  • Healthy individuals (no chronic health conditions) who are not older than 49 AND
    • Are a primary caregiver for an infant under 6 months  OR
    • Are a licensed health care worker with direct patient contact

VACCINE TO BE DISTIBUTED:  Inactivated Vaccine (“swine flu shot”)

TARGET POPULATIONS FOR THIS CLINIC**

  • Pregnant women
  • All individuals 6 months-24 years of age
  • Individuals who are younger than 65 with chronic health conditions
  • Caregivers of infants under 6 months of age
  • Licensed health care worker with direct patient contact

 

**Only individuals who meet these target populations will be vaccinated. All minors under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian in order to be vaccinated. As more vaccine becomes available, additional clinics will be scheduled to accommodate other priority groups. Clinics will be scheduled until everyone who wants a shot has received one.
