Register Now for Project Healthy Bones

Orientation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Men and women age 50 and older can register for 'Project Healthy Bones' classes offered through the Madison Health Department. 

During the 24-week class, attendees will learn about nutrition and medications while using weights and focusing on balance and flexibility exercises. A physician's permission is required to enroll. 

Participants must register as class size is limited. To sign up, call the Madison Health Department at 973-593-3079 x1 or 2 before Friday. 

Orientation for the class will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Chatham Senior Center, 58 Meyersville Road in Chatham Township. 

Project Healthy Bones is administered by the Regional Arthritis Center affiliated with Morristown Medical Center and coordinated by RSVP and NORWESCAP, Inc. of Morris County and the Madison Health DepartmentMadison Health Department classes are supported and hosted by the Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, and Springfield Boards of Health, Juniper Village, and the Madison and Chatham Senior Centers.
