Springfield Employee Recognition: Michael Hofmann

Part time fire inspector praised for efficiency and strong work ethic.

Eight Springfield Employees were recognized for their service to the Township at a morning “Mugging event” this week.

Township Administrator Anthony Cancro gave eight employees with superlative service records mugs in recognition of their on-the-job achievements. Before presenting the mugs, provided by Investor’s Savings Bank, Cancro spotlighted the how each employee was an asset to the Township, and thanked them each for “making a difference."

After part time fire inspector Michael Hofmann was hired last year, he went to work quickly. He completed a year’s worth of annual inspections in a short 10 months, bringing in $24,000 in fees and insuring that over 1,000 hazard locations are safe from fire code violations. But, as Cancro noted, the job isn’t the only thing keeping Hofmann busy.
