Springfield Recycles

Successful holiday weekend recycling effort

Springfield’s July recycling collection was a success.

Municipal worker Bob Sabol assisted Mrs. Lynn Ryan in recycling a broken printer. By early morning a sizeable pile of electronics had been collected in a dumpster located on the side of the Township Pool parking lot.

As this photographer was leaving the scene, a line of vehicles was forming, demonstrating the community’s support of Springfield’s recycling program.  Springfield residents can recycle electronics, grass clippings, and appliances the first Saturday of the month at the pool and Tuesdays and Fridays from 7-9 a.m. at the DPW garage behind the library.
