Springfield School Budget Passes

Yes votes outnumber no by a 3-to-2 margin

Springfield voters sent a strong signal to the State of New Jersey that schools are of great importance. A stronger-than-usual turnout sent the votes squarely into positive territory.  

According to Board of Education President Jackie Shanes, the Budget Proposition passed in every single voting district across the town. Final vote counts were 1,217 yes to 847 no, passing the initiative by an impressive 370 votes or by about a 3 to 2 margin.
