Charity Softball Game, Temple Sha'arey Sahlom vs Springfield Fire Department

Let's PLAY BALL!   Grab a lawn chair and come out for a great evening of fun and community!  Temple Sha’arey Shalom of Springfield is hosting a charity softball game against the Springfield Fire Department.  TEAM TSS takes on the township’s Bravest this evening, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 6:30pm at the Springfield Pool Field on Morrison Road in Springfield.  A rain date is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 2012.   

Proceeds from the event will help support Springfield H.O.P.E, the Fire Department’s designated charity, and the Temple’s educational programs.  Springfield H.O.P.E.--or Helping Other People Endure--provides assistance to needy families in Springfield.  Firefighter Joseph Popolo, President of FMBA Local 57, says “We are excited to be able to participate in this charity softball game to help raise money for Springfield HOPE and Temple Sha'arey Shalom, two wonderful organizations here in Springfield.”   Temple co-President and TEAM TSS coach Felice Schneier adds “We look forward to playing the Fire Department in this wonderful community event and we hope everyone will come out and watch us play.  It’s a great way to spend a warm, spring evening.  The SFD is in for a great game—I hope they’re ready for us!”

Come on out and show your team spirit!  Cheer on TEAM TSS and the Springfield Fire Department--all for a great cause!  Admission is $5 per person, with kids under five FREE.   There will raffle prizes and snacks and refreshments for sale from J&M Curbside Café and The Ice Hut.  Music and audio services are being generously donated by DJ Music Unlimited of Springfield, www.newjerseysbestdj.com.  For more information, call the temple office at (973)379-5387 or email office@shaarey.org.
