'Shame' Youth Teams Can't Use Scoreboard, PA System, Former Springfielder Says
A visiting parent questions why youth teams can't take advantage of the athletic complex's amenities.

A $3 million-plus field - what's wrong with this picture? Then again, what's wrong with this Board of Education, or is it the Township Commitee, or is it the Athletic Director or maybe the Superintendant? What a shame.
I'd love to tell you the score or who won the game, but as you see I had no way knowing. Came by to see my nephew play against Springfield since I heard they have a brand new turf field. I was told it was for the entire town of Springfield, but quickly found out that the youth teams were not allowed to use the score board or PA system.
Wow, I'm surprised they let them use the chains! Nice job, Springfield, way to care and go out of your way for the children in your town........ now I know why I moved from this town years ago!
