Music Concerts around Springfield

JAZZ

Despite the scorching heat, the initial event in series of Jazz concerts was a cool success! Audiences gathered in front of Dr. Hecht's office (the old red train station) at 201 Mountain Avenue and also on Center Street in Downtown to enjoy two hours of good music. Chairs were set up at both locations so residents could relax and enjoy.

The Jazz Nights will be held at the same locations on Thursday August 1 and Thursday August 15 at 6:30 PM. Let's hope the weather will cooperate and even more music lovers will attend!  Attendees can enjoy dinner in town before or desserts from local shops during the concerts - lots of choices are available nearby.  

Rock’n’Roll

 For lovers of Rock'n'Roll, don't miss the annual concert to be held on Monday, August 12 at the air conditioned auditorium at JDHS at 7:30PM. This year's concert features Jay and the Americans and The Tokens.
